Club Activities/Committees/Volunteers Needed
Below is a complete listing
of primary volunteer needs for the entire school year. We hope all Booster Club members will find an
area of interest. Board Members will
work closely with all activities/committees so no one will be “working blind”.
Activity Active Time
Soccer Program Advertisements October to December 1st
You would coordinate with the Program Chairperson the acquisition of advertisements for the Soccer Program. This includes making sure the advertiser has paid for the ad and that necessary artwork/text is acquired for the ad. Also, this includes player Star ads submitted by family and friends. The Program should be ready to distribute at games by January 1.
Red & Green Parade
You would coordinate the assembly/decorating of the Soccer “float” for the Red and Green Parade held on the afternoon of Nov. 3. This primarily consists of gathering the girls on one or two days prior to the parade and having them make posters etc. for the float. You would also be responsible for ordering/acquiring the “throws” for the float.
Team Parent December thru Season
Once teams are set, each team parent will coordinate pasta dinners (which are held the evening prior to a game) for the team, team t-shirts, communication, etc.
Locker Room/ Spirit Squad January through the end of the soccer season
You would be responsible for spirit snacks for girls, making posters, transporting flags to away Varsity games, and misc. spirit building activities during game weeks for all teams.
Game Announcer/
Scoreboard Operator During
Season
You would be responsible for announcing all home Varsity games, Varsity and JV tournament, as well as some JV games. You would also work the game clock and scoreboard. This position would ideally have two people in booth at games and several people to cover all events necessary.
Videographer During
Season
You would be responsible for video recording of all home Varsity games as well as some JV games. These videos would be made available to the Coach and players the following week. You would have to supply your own camcorder, tripod, editing, etc.
Spiritwear October-January
You would be responsible for obtaining quotes, designs, orders of Spiritwear and then distribution to players and parents in Dec. and/or Jan.
You would assist in determining an appropriate location/group (elderly home, needy families, etc.) that could benefit from some holiday cheer. Research of the group, acquiring “gift lists”, assisting with the coordination of purchasing items and coordinating distribution of gifts would also be required. Dec 6th is the day the girls will be available to shop and wrap gifts.
Yard Signs December - January
You would take the orders for Yard Signs on the Dec. booster club meeting, verify the players’ spelling of their name and their number, get the orders to the printer and then pick up the signs from the printer. Distribution of signs will be the first week in January.
Intra-Squad Game/ Alumni Game Jan 3, 2011
You would be responsible for mailing out invitations to graduated soccer players inviting them back to the Intra-Squad Game on Jan 3. You will need to collect all replies also.
Senior Related
(Senior Ad, Senior Scrapbooks) September, December-April
You would be responsible for putting together the senior yearbook ad (September), the senior scrapbooks and various senior projects.
Senior Night
February-March –
You would be responsible for the scheduling of events, notification of senior parents and organizing of the Senior Night home soccer game.
Coach’s Scrapbook Now through end of soccer season
You would be responsible for acquiring a variety of pictures, newspaper clippings, etc. and putting together the annual Coach’s scrapbook. This is presented to the Coach at the End of Year Banquet.
End of Year Video/Slideshow/Presentation Now through end of soccer season
You would be responsible for requesting pictures from parents to be used in the end of year presentation and be responsible for putting presentation in DVD/Slideshow form. You would also work with the senior parents in putting together the “senior section” of the presentation. This presentation is shown at the End of Year Banquet and is also sold to players and parents.
Scholarships April, May
A parent from each class will work with Coach and Chair, notify seniors of application deadline, acquire proper college/university financial submission information, conduct interviews in late April, present scholarships awards at senior awards night and make sure that scholarship awards are mailed out on time.
End of Year Banquet February-April
Must be available the night of the banquet –
You would be responsible for scheduling the hall/banquet room, acquiring a caterer, determining a meal, making/acquiring table decorations, determining dinner ticket prices, sending out invitations, collecting ticket sales, finalizing guest numbers, setting up, coordinating the coaches gifts, meeting with the year end video person and cleaning up after the dinner to be held in April.. This person should have a sign-up for people to help with the set up of the banquet.

Varsity/JV Tournament Field Coordinator November-February
.
You would work with the Tournament Chairpersons in coordinating the November re-seeding as well as January lining, and general maintenance of the tournament soccer fields prior to the Varsity and JV Tournament and clean-up after the tournaments. Also, you would coordinate the placement of benches, tents, stands, signs, tables, etc. for both tournaments at TWHS and Bear Branch.
Varsity/JV Tournament Work Schedule Oct.- Feb. -
You would work with the Tournament Chairpersons in coordinating the work schedules for all areas needing staffing for both tournaments. This includes parking, ticket sales, concessions, T-Shirts sales, Field Marshals, Field Runners, and cleanup.

T-Shirts
October-February
You would work with the Tournament Chairpersons in getting the T-Shirt design from Coach, validating all artwork is correct, coordinating pre-order sales, placing the order for the T-shirts, and fulfilling the pre-order sales. This would be done for both the Varsity and JV Tournaments.
Varsity/JV Tournament Awards
You would work with the Tournament Chairpersons in ordering the necessary awards/trophies/certificates for both the Varsity and JV Tournament. You would also ensure that any post-tournament certificates, etc. are properly distributed.
Varsity/JV Tournament
Hospitality December, January
You would work with other members in securing food, drinks, snacks and providing them to Tournament officials, Coaches, Staff during both tournaments.

Ticket Sales
You would organize ticket sales and volunteers at TWHS and Bear Branch.
